When the call came down that a special edition vinyl edition of their latest album was to be pressed, Chicago rock band First Grade Crush opted to create a new piece of art for the jacket. While the initial CD art was dark, the vinyl art carried the same vibe but swapped the tour photos with a pointedly morbid set of illustrations to carry the message. Inside the jacket lied a transparent, blood red disc with Death sitting soundly in the center. Dark? Yup. Creepy? No doubt. The kind of album that your black sheep uncle would beat you for breathing on? Mission 100% accomplished.
